What better way to celebrate life than host the best Day of the Dead bash of the year? Southern Surgical Arts’ much-anticipated client and patient appreciation event, Spooktacular, was the hottest ticket in town Thursday, October 18th, boasting a huge crowd. The annual event is inspired by Día de Los Muertos, a Mexican holiday where family and friends honor the lives of the deceased through elaborate costumes, flowers, food and dance.
The soon-to-be-unveiled Life Wellness Center and MedSpa was transformed for the occasion with wall-to-wall Latin-inspired decorations, brightly colored papel picado banners and an exquisite main centerpiece replicating an authentic Día de Los Muertos “ofrenda” or altar. Along with customary marigolds and other colorful flowers arranged by The Clay Pot, the ofrenda featured large pillar candles and framed photographs of famous and historic Hispanic figures.
Lucky guests scored enviable SSA giveaways such as the CO2 or Erbium with Platelet Rich Plasma laser treatment (valued at $2500), HALO™ treatment ($1500) and BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC injections ($2000). The Vein Institute offered a 50% off Platelet Rich Plasma Hair Treatment ($750 value) and free schlerotherapy session ($350), while a complimentary wellness consultation ($350) was donated by Life at SSA. Partner giveaways included meals from Fit+Meals ($500), Jeremy Asher Clothiers attire ($1900), Lucidity float sessions (2 at $85 each) and a teeth-whitening session from River City Dentistry ($350).
A sincere “Thank You” to all of our vendors! A shout out to our sponsors: The Vein Institute, LIFE Wellness Center and MedSpa, and Allergan. And we couldn’t have done this without the many efforts of our event coordinators, including: Victoria Love Events and Staffing, Brittany Lovingood from Southern Surgical Arts, and Maycreate! From our wonderful staff and the doctors at Southern Surgical Arts, we look forward to seeing all of you next year!
